Every so often, you need somebody to bridge the gap.  Often, the department or organization is in distress.  You need somebody that will stabilize, restore and encourage the team, prepare the team for their next leader, and the next leader for their team.  I've been successful in several capacities:  IT, ecommerce and Retail.

IT Strategy

Rule number one:  determine what you need, then approach the vendors.  "Business First, Technology, second".  That said, I've established terrific "win-win" partnerships with technology vendors...because it is in their best interest for their customers to be successful.

• Assessment - Technology landscape and technical resources
• Organization Design - are you set up for success?
• Technology Roadmap - how do you get there from here?  What's reasonable?
